Barrel Sample. This rounded wine is both full and well structured. Its acidity, black currant fruitiness and blackground of wood aging are set to age this wine well over the medium term. Drink from 2022. 88-90.

The 2017 Doyac has quite a punchy blackberry and blueberry scented bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with gritty tannin, fine energy but it feels a little muddled towards the finish at the moment.

Couleur sombre d’intensité normale. Nez discret et fruité. Caressant à l’attaque, suave en milieu de bouche, le vin glisse sur un corps et une longueur moyens. 15

This estate is located high up in the Médoc on clay-limestone soils, so they use a high proportion of Merlot - 65% planted in the vineyard and 75% in this blend. 85% of production goes into the grand vin. This has a fleshiness to it that's very attractive, with fairly weighty black fruits accompanied by a little rusticity on the nose and fairly robust tannins. It's charming and has a sense of flexibility. Consultants are Eric Boissenot and his colleague Marco Balsimelli. Organic, and undergoing biodynamic conversion, with Demeter certification expected in 2019. Drinking Window 2022 - 2032. 88.

Ce cru en conversion en biodynamie possède une robe sombre avec un beau nez bien défini. Le vin est de demi-corps, de bonne densité, de la fraîcheur. 3-8 ans. 89-90.

There’s lots of good dark-cherry and -plum character here, and although this isn’t the most structured 2017, the pretty fruit and relative ripeness are attractive.. 87-88.

91 POINTS A light, finty edge to the nose here with a rich, ripe and succulent palate that has beautful balance and layered tannins throughout. A blend of 75 per cent merlot and 25 per cent cabernet sauvignon. Try from 2021.

90/100 Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Doyac has an impressive, well-defined and focused bouquet with blackberry and raspberry fruit, finely tuned with good mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well-judged acidity and well-integrated oak. This is a wellcrafted Haut-Médoc that will give a decade of pleasure. Recommended. Tasted September 2017.

87/100- Robe grenat soutenu, reflets violines. Nez franc sur de jolis fruits noirs et rouges, note de cacao, épices douces en retrait. Attaque douce, bouche élégante, raffinée, où le fruit s'exprime librement au milieu de notes boisées. Belle cuvée.
Médaille d'Or Gilbert et Gaillard - Concours international 2017
80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon 15,5-Dark crimson. Some rather unusual oak notes on the nose. Very sweet start. Unusual. Pretty marked tannins – and heat – on the end.

Haut-Médoc 2014 Score: 89 Country France Region Bordeaux Issue Web Only - 2017 Tasting Note Ripe and solid, with a core of black currant and dark plum fruit allied to a graphite spine and backed by hints of iron and anise on the finish. Well done. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2022. 9,700 cases made.

88 POINTS Because it is planted in clay and limestone soil, this wine is inevitably dominated by Merlot. The wood-aging flavor shows strongly with spice and toast while the fruit is just beginning to hint at a black-currant future. It is rich and full, needing time. Drink from 2022.
